Default Vonta Leach wants to come back

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/93...utostart=false

I would give him a one year deal. I would assume that Jones got little guaranteed in his one year deal so I'd be willling to cut him to go with Leach.

Looks like Vontae has a visit with Miami lined up today.

Since Vonta's preference had been to come to Houston, by going to Miami, seems it's not in the cards for him to be a Texan again in 2013. Hopefully Leach is just a one-year plan for the Dolphins.

Vonta's agent says the Texans are interested:
Quote:
"We just talked and (Rick Smith) mentioned that he definitely had an interest in Vonta," Vitolo said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports.

"He said that it would be beneficial for all of us if we could get him back down there. It's just a matter of 'how we can do it money-wise and when can we do it and if we can do it.'

"We all agree that we want him back there, but how do we do it?"

Vitolo said Smith responded on Wednesday to Vitolo's request to talk about Leach.

"It's a mutual interest," Vitolo said. "He felt the whole organization would benefit from getting Vonta back there.

"He thinks it's a win-win. He's a difference-maker. He said 'it's not just me, it's the entire organization.' "
Greg Jones got a $160k signing bonus with an $840k base and $240k guaranteed (including the bonus, I assume?).

I think you ask Jones what other team he would like to go to and then see if you can trade him there for a 7th.

Red face

I think we don't have enough cap space for Leach, but Miami has quite a bit of cap space. But who knows, he will land somewhere for sure.

I dunno, is it thought that there's that much difference between Leach and Jones ?
