Why would you call Smith an "underachiever"? He was a 5th round project that improved vastly the past 2 1/2 years. Arizona fans and coaches consider him a hard worker and a guy that gives good effort. Furthermore, he played extremely well in the playoffs.

Antonio Smith had to wait for 5 years and produce before he got paid. That's the nature of the NFL. If Cochran and Bulman produce the next year or two then they'll get a payday as well. If the Texans start handing out raises to its ERFAs and RFAs, then that would put them at a competitive disadvantage with the rest of the NFL.
