I definitely like it. We need depth on that line, man. Doesn't matter if it's Weary or someone else. We have to plan cuz we're pretty much cursed with line failure and injury.

Doesn't he have some experience at center, if only way back in college ?

Not to be the Butt of the Fred jokes, but maybe Fred fits the mold of the "swing" player that Kubiak likes. If he has the versatility to play C and G and that helps balance the gameday roster.

This is not a good sign for Steve McKinney, and the fact that Mr. Brown now owns 76.

I don't see McKinney or Flanagan returning. Myers is our center now and I guess the debate can begin on who our backup would be if he got hurt. It is a little interesting to note that our projected line is going to be larger than the traditional Broncos line. Since ZB is all about walling off the running lane, it means guys have to sync to be exactly at the right spot at the right time to open the hole and make the play work so quickness is more preferred than raw size or power (one reason it is not particularly effective in goal line and short yardage situations).

I've said it before....I wouldn't mind it at all if we kept some of the Power runs in our playbook. The larger lineman could be an indication that will happen. Or, it could just be that there are more Athletic lineman who happen top be big but still move well enough for the system.....remember all the confusion about drafting Spencer originally.

Breisel played OC in europe last spring. Eslinger also is a OC. Weary was a OC in college and played some backup OC here early on.
