Saints added a FG about 2½ minutes into the 4th qtr to take the lead by 3.

With little time left, Driskel led the Texans down field for the go ahead score. Rookie Johnny Johnson III had a big catch and then the scoring catch, a 6 yard pass from Driskel with 25 seconds left.

Final score:

Texans 17, Saints 13

Didn't see much of Davis Mills ... Driskel, however, didn't look too bad - if anything, he showed he could be a functional to good backup QB......

Pierce really looked good. Spencer Tillman was comparing him to Arian Foster...... Not sure about that one - need to see how he does against A-teams.... He might be a gem, though.... So far, he has shown to be an exciting runner.

DL Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (Rams 3 years) and rookie LB Jake Hansen (Illinois) had good games. DE Derek Rivers had 2 sacks.

Pierce did look great. He gets to the line quickly and his first cut each time was good. Can lower his shoulder, too. Only have to temper the excitement a little since this came against what I assume is mostly the second-team Saints defense.

I didn't get flashbacks to Foster, style-wise I mean, so I assume Tillman is just trying to relate what he is seeing to the average Texans viewer. Pierce is a smaller guy than Foster. The similarities might just be that the Texans haven't had a back with the promise of Pierce since Foster.

Yes, I think so. Tillman suggesting he (Pierce) may have Foster-like production and big play capabilities and it's been a while since the Texans have had that.

Also, it's been a while since they've had a big play/dangerous punt returner/kickoff returner. (Jacoby Jones was the last?) It would be nice if they could find one of those somewhere....
