I spoke too soon. I assumed a 1st and the 3rd we just got. That is an absurd price to pay even for a very good young LT. Not to mention we pointlessly took on the $8 million salary of a guy who was about to be cut.

The performance of Bill O'Brien the coach is up for debate. I happen to like him well enough but I understand the viewpoint of those who don't.

The performance of Bill O'Brien the GM is not up for debate. This is the worst 6 weeks an NFL team has ever had. They managed to make Clowney worthless and followed it up with this wild trade.

And in between they dealt for a veteran RB who lost the battle for the backup job in KC and would likely have been cut. We gave up a 2018 3rd round pick from our OL in that deal.

Is it possible O'Brien is tanking the roster in spite before leaving after the season? These moves seem beyond possibility.

I am almost rooting against the Texans and hoping Deshaun Watson doesn't bail these idiots out.

Bill O'Brien is trying to sew up the worst GM of all time title.

The Vikings GM says hold my beer Bill...

And trades a 5th round pick for a non-rookie kicker who had never kicked in a regular season game. Then less than a month later they cut him.

It amazes me some of these guys are employed in the NFL.

Keith: Is the Clowney deal the worst trade in Texans history?

BOB: LOL hold my beer.

It’s actually 3 firsts when you include this year’s pick for supposedly the LT of the future. Miami would have undoubtedly done this deal in March and would have saved us a 1st.

And to think all of this is because Rick Smith refused to negotiate with Duane Brown with 2 years left on his deal.

It boggles my mind that they fked the Duane Brown situation up so thoroughly.

Good thing I have a fresher memory of their dicking around and losing all their leverage with Clowney to distract me.

Yes, three first rounders on one position (LT). Crazy. Trade away those 1st rounders "like you just don't care"!

Tunsil better be good, like, all-pro good for many years. Goodness gracious....
