Seven wins could win this stupid division, and the Texans appear to be lucky if they figure out how to win even four this season. This is just a low talent, undisciplined team.
The LBs are terrible. The safeties are terrible. The pass rush over-pursues. And that's just the defense, which actually isn't horrible. The play-calling is unimaginitive. The 3rd-and-long draw is doing the defense a favor in 21st century football. This team is miserable executing the screen play (on both sides of the ball). I'm really not sure the forward pass should ever be needed to beat the Colts this season, but hey, the Texans have gunslingers Houston should be proud of back there so let 'er fly. I want to like O'Brien. But if the 1-3 start wasn't on him before, this loss is all on him. Clean out Rick Smith now, before we get any deeper into the college season so the new guy can ensure his college scouts are in place. Do what it takes to get the right QB in the offseason, whatever it costs. |

Dream on, dude. Smith isn't going anywhere. McSenile thinks he's doing an OUTSTANDING job.

Bob McSenile, Cal McSenile, and Smith were standing on the sideline, per usual, thru the first quarter or so of the game again tonight. Witnessing firsthand, from sea level, the Texans fart their way to another inexplicable multiple score deficit in the opening minutes. Just how impressive a shitshine is Smith putting on these two to be able to keep standing there with them? Would love for Bob to just lean over to Smith, whisper in his ear, 'Straight to the parking lot tonight, Rick. We'll FedEx your personals.' |

I'm at the point where I wish McSenile would just pass control to McSenile Jr. and let us see if things change. Maybe McSenile Jr has the nuts to make changes but just can't because daddy's a doofus and doesn't listen.
