I Swearinger was a 4th round pick it'd be understandable. He is a 2nd rounder who lost his job to the nobodies we play at safety. He was bad in coverage but attempted to make up for it by being a bad tackler. He had a good stretch the first few games of 2014, but every game in which he didn't cause a turnover to offset his bad play, he was useless.

I am really not sure about Strong and McKinney. Strong cannot see the field in one of the NFL's worst position groups.

That's from the link that WMH provided, but that's pretty unusual for a HC to fire a position coach he personally hired less than 12 months earlier.
Re the players, Nix is the only one that's on O'Brien so far. The X-man and Strong and some other O'Brien Draft picks may turn out to be busts but still too soon to know about them. But if they don't cut it, they are probably also gone. That's how this guy operates. End of story.

Wish the owner would hold his GM accountable. OB has made the right moves thus far jettisoning dead weight, but sooner or later you have to replace these guys with some quality, young players. It's probably safe to put most of the blame Smith, but the HC also has a big part of the draft and FA acquisition process, and right now, OB is trying to fix a problem he has had a hand in creating. I like OB, but McNair has to step in soon and bring this to a head (I know, wishful thinking...) or we'll continue to be in football purgatory for a long, long time.
