Disagree. I think he could/will beat out Case for the QB3 spot, IF there is one. Don't think he will beat Yates out for the 2.

From the Chronic:

The Texans are no longer in the market for a veteran quarterback after agreeing to terms on a one-year contract with John Beck on Wednesday.

Coach Gary Kubiak said this week he wanted to sign a fourth quarterback, preferably a veteran.

Beck, who turns 31 in August, enters his sixth season in the NFL. He should have a smooth transition into the Texans’ system because he spent the last two years playing at Washington.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan use the same system as the Texans.

Beck, who gets the minimum of $700,000, will compete with rookie Case Keenum for the third-string job behind starter Matt Schaub and backup T.J. Yates.
