OK, let me first say that I don't believe that Spiller falls to us at 20. If he does, I'd be very tempted to take him and then draft another RB in the 3rd, but I just don't see it happening.

So, those who are enamored with Ryan Mathews, try to remember who he played against. I myself am intrigued with this guy, but #20 is just too high in my opinion.

Now, I love to get exceptional players in the first round that can't be found later in the draft. That's why I have Eric Berry, Trent Williams, Earl Thomas, Dan Williams and Sean Weatherspoon at the top of my wish list. Then comes the NEEDS pick at CB. While there may be options at CB available at #51, I'd rather take the guy I want instead of taking what's left in the 2nd. For me, it comes down to Kyle Wilson and Devin McCourty. My instincts tell me that Wilson may be the more talented cover corner, but McCourty will be the better teammate. I have absolutely no proof that Wilson is a selfish jerk or that he'll turn into Dunta Robinson, but that is just the 'vibe' I get from him. McCourty on the other hand comes across as a team-first type of player that will do whatever it takes to help the team win. I think he is more physical and is a better tackler in the run game while Wilson will probably collect more interceptions. I would like to sit in a room with both of them when they are being interviewed so I could get a better feel for their character since I'm just basing my opinion on their interactions with teammates on the field. I guess McCourty just comes across as a Pro while Wilson makes me think that he's got something to prove, if that makes sense. I'm hoping that the 49ers or Steelers draft Wilson so I don't have to make that decision because, I have Wilson ahead of McCourty on my board right now.

Is this a shared opinion? Is this even fair? Probably not and like I said there's no real basis for it. It is probably just like Todd McShay saying that Jimmy Claussen isn't a real leader and his teammates hate him. That's one thing that gets lost in the draft evaluations. That's personality interactions and how well you 'like' the guy that you want to hire and have play for your team.
