This had been rumored and is a smart move. Rick deserved the extension based upon his draft and FA work, and cleaning up the salary cap.

I would not be shocked if the Texans try to extend Kubes contract. You can always rip up the current deal, give him a raise and add a few years. I think that also would be a smart move. I think this current regime has demonstrated that they know what the heck they are doing.

I now hope the greedy owners and greedy players can get together to sign a new CBA for the good of the league. I would hate to see plastic face up north or napolean Snyder buy the ring in the uncapped year.
