Texans Sign P Shane Lechler

Punter Shane Lechler to visit Thursday
The team was interested in Lechler, who went to Texas A&M, the last time his contract expired but the Raiders gave him $4 million a year. He was drafted in the fifth round in 2000 and has played his entire career in Oakland. Lechler has made seven Pro Bowls, the last coming in 2011.
Donnie Jones set team records for gross and net yards in his only season with the Texans. He’s a free agent.
