Default Knee surgery for AJ

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/5789986.html

Good news/bad news. Bad is that he felt the knee was not 100%, good news is that they did not find anything really wrong, just a clean out.

Let's hope that this is not a problem. He'll be ready for training camp and was at OTA's with his teammates.

Please stay healthy Andre. We need you on board if we're going to show the league what we're really capable of this year!

I'm not particularly concerned about it at this point.

Once again, though, we see how little the Texans are willing to divulge about injuries. I'm not complaining about that, though, because I think I understand why they do it.

I'm guessing the operation is just a procedure to clean up scar tissue. But if it's a cartilege issue, I could see it eventually shortening his career.

The Texans under Kubiak seem destined to be a perennial winner. I think the only thing that can stop that is us getting more than our share of injuries to key personnel. It happened last year and probably cost us a winning season.

the way i read it it's not to big of a deal. the kid from the oklahoma basketball team had this done and played a game the next day. what his name was....blake griffin?

anyway, it also sounds like andre knew it might have to be done but was just going to see how it worked out this summer before making a decision.

hopefully this is really all there is to it. though the texans medical staff has a history of releasing information about minor injuries that end up costign players significant playing time, dominik davis, andre last year, originally 2-3 weeks ended up being 7, and green last year was day to day for most of the season.
