Wish List 3.5
15 Clay Matthews OLB43 DE43 USC 46 Patrick Chung SS Oregon 77 Rashad Johnson FS Alabama 108 Ian Johnson RB Boise ST 118 Ryan Purvis TE Boston College 144 Sebastian Vollmer OT Houston 175 Johnny Knox WRS Abilene Christian 206 Kaluka Maiava OLB USC Most of this is a repeat, but I have not started a draft LB SS FS. That is adding some defensive upgrades. Chung and Johnson would be two solid young safeties that should be play makers. BTW William Moore had a solid pro-day and might have to sneak back on my list. Ian Johnson just scores TDs Purvis would add a blocking TE who can catch. Vollmer is project at OT but his upside is huge. Knox has the tools, but has not played against elite talent. Kaluka Maiava is a smart player that might work his way into a starting job in the next few years. I am drafting more offense then I wanted to, so Purvis might have to be replaced with a pass rush specialist.

108 McGrath 6-3 225 with room to grow. 144 Shipley 6-1 OC are rare, but he is a battler. Your last two are like most 6-7 round picks, role the dice and hope. (Just like mine). FYI, One of the reason I like RB, LB, WR types in the 6th and 7th round is because they can offer special teams play to the resume, OL and DT can add special teams but they are limited in their impact.

I went with a DT because they can impact as a rotational player on the DL. Miller is a bit of a run plugger. However, looking at his Combine numbers, he's not a complete slug.

With a trade down... 22 LB Clay Matthews USC 46 S William Moore Missouri 54 OC Eric Wood Louisville 77 DE Cody Brown Connecticut 122 CB Asher Allen Georgia 152 S Chris Clemons Clemson 188 DT Roy Miller Texas 223 RB Javarris Williams Tenn State No trade down... 15 DE Everette Brown Florida St. 46 RB Shonn Greene Iowa 77 S Chip Vaughn Wake Forest 112 CB Keenan Lewis Oregon St 122 LB Gerald McGrath Southern Miss 152 S Chris Clemons Clemson 188 TE John Phillips Virginia 223 DT Terrence Knighton Temple Gee, I think I like the No Trade down better. Of course that is depending upon a lot of things happening, especially in the 1st, 4th, and 5th rounds.
