Default Official Texans @ Bears Game Thread, 12/13/2020

In Week 14, the 4-8 Houston Texans are headed to Chicago to take on the 5-7 Bears in an early game on CBS. The Texans are coming off a 26-20 home loss to the Indianapolis Colts while the Bears lost 34-30 at home last week to the Detroit Lions. The Lions scored two 4th qtr TDs to eke out the win. Chicago has now lost 6 in a row. Seems as though QB Mitchell Trubisky will start although QB Nick Foles may be able to play if needed. RB David Montgomery is the top Chicago running back with 647 yards. Allen Robinson II is the top receiver with 904 yards. Other targets will be WRs Anthony Miller, Darnell Mooney and TE Jimmy Graham. The Chicago defense is 17th vs. the pass and 17th vs. the run (yards allowed/game).

Watson coming off a loss? I like the Texans here:

Texans 28, Bears 22

Prime time:

Weather.com forecast calls for 34-degree weather in Chicago with 8 mph winds and 10% precip. David Carr once beat the Bears in worse weather than this. Texans will rest on the "No More Tears" rushing attack of Johnson and Johnson.

I predict some clanking goalposts.
