Default Official Texans vs. Bears Game Thread, 9/11/2016

The Chicago Bears pay a visit to NRG stadium this Sunday to play the Texans in an early game on FOX. It will be the season opener for both teams. Like the Texans, the Bears will be operating with a patchwork offensive line due to injury. Still, the Bears are expected to start QB Jay Cutler and he can run hot (or cold) at times.... The Bears have a new offensive coordinator, a new RB and the aforementioned interior OL.

The Texans will have a new QB, some rookie wide receivers to break in, a new lead RB and their own new faces on the OL. The Texans have never lost to the Bears (3-0).

TV = FOX (channel 26 local), noon, Sunday, Sept 11

Announcers = Thom Brennaman, Charles Davis

The line = Texans by 6.5 to 7

-------------------------------------------------------

Other Sunday viewing in the Houston area:

FOX (late) = New York Giants @ Dallas -- Joe Buck, Troy Aikman

CBS (late) = Miami @ Seattle -- Ian Eagle, Dan Fouts

--------------------------------------------------------

Prime Time:

TNF = Carolina @ Denver (NBC), 7:30 pm CST

SNF = New England @ Arizona (NBC), 7:30 pm CST

MNF = Pittsburgh @ Washington (ESPN), 6:10 pm CST

MNF = Los Angeles @ San Francisco (ESPN), 9:20 pm CST

Better win this one or no way we are serious contenders in 2016 because next week with the big, bad Chiefs coming to town and then a few days later we travel to New England for a Thursday night game to visit Belichicks Patriots the games only get tougher, lots tougher.
