Default Favre to the Texans?

Adam Schefter reports that the best team to transition to from the Packers would be the Houston Texans. He said they do have alot of money tied up in Matt Schaub so might not happen.

Just before that he said Farve would only go to someone that's a contender.

Thought I'd throw that out there for you guys about our future!

Yeah, I agree. I should've emphasized the important part to me with a question.

If we didn't have quite abit of money tied up with Schaub would Farve consider us "a contender"? Just how close are we really? I think we 9 and 7, maybe 10 and 6 this year and make the playoffs for a taste.

This would never happen. I have heard them on the radio the last few weeks and Houston has come up as a great fit for Farve and the team. I think that is about the dumbest thing I have heard though. It shows the lack of knowledge they have about our teams identity, direction, and leadership.

We arent in a win now mode. Kubiak and Smith are trying to build a team that can compete for years and years, not just throw up a hail mary and hope like hell we catch it. Bringing in Farve would be a bigger disruption than a help to get this team to be able to compete every year.

Smith and Kubiak have a master plan, and it doesn't allow for a sidetrack like Favre would be.

You mean people actually get paid for saying stuff like that? This goes to show why I never read or listen to what the national guys say about the Texans. They rarely have a clue. Stick with the local guys if you want to know about the Texans. By the way, our offense, even with our all-star receiver, our starting RB and our QB out for a big chunk of games, still ranked well ahead of our defense in NFL stats.

This is about as likely to happen as Bud Adams selling the Titans and trying to buy the Texans.
