I am hoping I can attend again this year. Last year I went to 3 practices and really was able to see the depth we had at WR and DBs (we survived a slew of injuries, remember).

I encourage every one to attend, it is a family friendly venue and many players interacted with the fans after the night practices. Great way to generate excitement.

Bumping this thread as a reminder to those interested in attending any training camp practices...

I'll be at as many of the open sessions as I can attend (should be able to make most of the morning and evening sessions), and I'll write up my impressions for the front page of the site as time allows.

The tickets are free. You just have to go into any Houston area Wachovia bank branch and pick them up.

I just picked up mine, although the dude wouldnt bend on the 6 per person per event rule even though I only picked up tickets for one practice and was asking for 7 instead of 6.

I just got mine, 3 tickets to each open practice. I was shocked one stop and done. Last year I had to run a round a bit to get different practices covered.

I am so ready for football.

These have "sold out" in the past. If you are interested in going, I would try to get there in the next day or so. I think after the weekend, these might be harder to find.

I got my tickets at a Wachovia Bank in Clear Lake here in Houston and no other fans in sight. I remember the first few years one had to stand in line,
but the novelty of having the NFL back in Houston is now a distant memory and then there's all the losing seasons and all the fans who became disenchanted with the team because it passed on VY.
The bare minimum to bring the lines back will be a winning season if that does it ? Now if we somehow get into the playoffs, then you better bring a cot to
camp-out in front of the Wachovia locations next year because the lines to secure TC tickets will be long and winding by opening time at 9 AM.

I got mine. But I waited until the first night practice on July 31st. That Texas sun is just too much for me.

The Texans are moving around when the open practices are scheduled.

Quote:
Due to concerns related to the heat at afternoon practices, the Texans have altered the schedule of public practice sessions to feature more morning practice sessions.

Tickets distributed for afternoon practice sessions may be redeemed at any other practice. Texans fans are invited to tailgate prior to the Saturday, July 26 practice session. Parking lots will open at 6 a.m.

Afternoon practices on Saturday, July 26; Sunday, July 27; and Friday, Aug. 1 were cancelled.

The updated schedule is listed below and remains subject to change.

2008 Houston Texans Training Camp

Sunday, July 27 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Tuesday, July 29 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Wednesday, July 30 8:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Thursday, July 31 7:15 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.

Thanks for the update. I had noticed that Kubiak had already said that the team was going to only teach at the evening practices. No helmets or pads. So here is the next step.

Last year the evening practices where later in the day and actually quit pleasant.

Well after looking hard at the schedule we lost a practice. They canceled 3 and added 2, that sucks.

See Keiths post above with the new schedule. They removed all evening practices and added on pracitce on the 29th and 30th.

So there will be one less open practice. According to the news article from the main site you can take your tickets for an evening practice and use it at any of the currently scheduled ones.
