Default Texans signed a new CB

Not getting alot of press, but I heard this last night on the radio. He was cut from the 49er's this preseason. A Washington St. product.

For what it's worth:

He didn't start much, but I guess some of our coaches know him. We gotta try something.

They let another CB who was on roster, Wall, go.

And I saw Kevin Bentley had minor knee surgery to relieve swelling, out only a few weeks expected.

Let's hope that the CB with "Paymah" written on the back of his jersey covers better than the one who had "pay me" written on the back of his shoes.

As if the D wasn't hurting enough with the bad showing of the secondary (we are dead last), Bently has knee surgery, out 3-4-5-6 weeks, rook Darryl Sharpton also has a knee problem, so we're down to a guy named Nixon at the Sam !!! Added to that FS Wilson has a hammy, so Barber will start this Sunday. So we just suck it up and play with what we got and hope that is good enough.

Come to think of it, they will probably move Diles to Sam and let this Nixon guy play the Will.

They drafted Antwaun Molden in the 3rd round 3 years ago to play CB. So when are they gonna play him? If he's not ready, cut his arse and go on to the next warm body!!

can't say that i am thinking there will be much downgrade with barber. with wilson dropping two interception opportunities, both of which hit him in the hands, in back to back games i am fine with having someone else in for him. would actually like to see what nolan can do.

as for the linebackers. cushing will be back next week, and if mcfadden really is out for this game, this is probably the best possible timing for these issues to appear.

on top of that, i think they should sit andre this week to rest his ankle

I'm actually glad Barber is gonna get some PT and think he should have gotten the nod at the beginning of the season, otherwise why did we draft him? I hope he plays well and keeps the starting FS job. IMO, Wilson is past his prime and injured too often to be depended on during the season. If Barber is the real deal, we'll know it by the end of the season or we'll address it in the draft or free agency.

Ditto for Molden, too. We're already last in pass defense.....

Looks like Nolan is our new starting FS.
