Default New Kicker tryouts

not surprising at all. to bad.

John McClain @McClain_on_NFL
Texans are bringing in 3 kickers 4 tryouts Tuesday: Shayne Graham, Neil Rackers and Justin Medlock. Rackers and Graham kicked for Texans.

Not the only problem, but a good contribution that can be fixed easy enough.

With Wade taking over as interim coach, I want to see him call the "Bummerooski" just once in his dad's honor. It's not like they would be taking a sure three points off the board.

Not too suprising. I don't think you really need to worry about a stop gap kicker in a lost season. We are 2-6 with no cushing, manning, probably no Foster, Ed Reed and his walker in the back end, and Wade on the sideline. If we won last week and were 2 back of the Colts I'd say cut Bullock. As is, I hope he blows a few more games with terrible kicking to move us up the draft board. And his leg is strong enough that if he suprises me, settles down, and kicks well, I wouldn't be disappointed either. Remember, Kickers are a bit like Closers in that they sometimes just get terrible for a while, and sometimes get good again. I remember Kris Brown having one brutal year in the middle of his career.

So here's to hoping Bullock can either kick us to 2-14 or save his career (or maybe both!).

Nothing to see here, keep moving along, etc, etc, etc.

Its really going to suck when we're a FG away from being 10-6, and this guy pulls it left, and we end up missing the playoffs.

I see it as having a ready Plan B. Bullock is hanging by a thread.

Bring in the usual suspects and find out who has been staying in shape and who is ready to go.... I bet the Texans have already made a choice and have that guy on speed dial....
