I am assuming we will bring this guy in for a looksy, hell, we will likely bring a TON of these types in for a looksy.....
From PFT: Bobby Carpenter's stay in Miami lasted only four games. Howard Balzer reports the Dolphins cut Carpenter on Monday. A former first-round pick of the Cowboys, Carpenter was picked up by Miami before Bill Parcells slid into a consultant role. He was cut by St. Louis after Dallas traded him to the Rams in the offseason. Maybe the Cowboys could use some help at linebacker on passing downs. |

Gotta bring him in for a look-see, at least. The guy was a middle-of-the-first round pick. Maybe he can help. At this point, not bringing guys in just because they've bounced around isn't an option. Our defense is epically bad. We don't do anything well. We need to look at every warm body, raid the UFL, something.

Don't really have an opinion on Carpenter specifically, but I see no reason not to at least bring him in for a look. I get the red flag concerns but today is October 19th. You're not going to find anybody on the street who doesn't come with some red flags. To immediately write off everyone who has a couple means standing pat.
