The 1-7 Houston Texans visit the 1-7 Miami Dolphins this Sunday in an early game on FOX. The Texans are coming off a 38-22 home loss to the Rams, the Dolphins are coming off a 26-11 road loss to the Bills.
Dolphin QB Tua Tagovailoa may start but QB Jacoby Brissett may also see action. Statistically they are about equal with Tagovailoa having more passing TDs but also more INTs. Top running back for the Dolphins is Myles Gaskin (279 yards, 4.2 yds/avg). Top receiver for the Dolphins is TE Mike Gesicki (475 yards, 11.9 avg) followed by WR Jaylen Waddle (413 yards, 8.6 avg.).
The good news for one of these teams is they will probably no longer have just one win after Sunday. The Dolphins have fared better than the Texans - 3 of their losses have been by 3 pts or less. However, they did lose to the Jags (in London). The Texans usually don't keep it close - just one loss of 3 pts or less (Patriots). With a few breaks (turnovers), they could win this one. I think the Dolphins have the better defense and win the game but if QB Tyrod Taylor sees action, I think the Texans can keep it close.
Dolphins 27, Texans 23
