Duane Brown skipping "voluntary" workouts is probably the most noteworthy item (though it's cool that DQ is back on the field and Watt is a full go).
Brown, who is signed through 2018, got a nice contract a few years ago, but as with all contracts, it's tough to swallow what lesser players get every new offseason. I think the kicker though has to be seeing Newton suffer a pair of terrible injuries then have to accept a restructured contract (I assume in lieu of an even worse injury settlement). Brown's last two years are not guaranteed, and he knows first hand what it is like being seriously injured.
I doubt much of anything will come from Brown's absence. And I don't blame him for skipping (tend to usually side with players over management), though he does have a contract he willingly signed.
On a related note, DeAndre Hopkins and Jadeveon Clowney were at OTAs though both have sticky contract situations still brewing, too. Would be nice for the Texans to figure out all three situations before training camp.
