Start of drives, play called on 1st down:
1. L Miller for 6.
2. Pass to Fido gets 8.
3. Hunt goes left side for 16.
4. Pass to Fuller along the sideline gets 13.
5. Pass to B Miller gets 7 but holding on Clark backs it up.
6. L Miller up the gut for none.
7. L Miller up the gut for no gain.
8. Pass to Fuller gets 7.
9. Pass to Fido gets 16.
10. L Miller up the gut for 1.
11. Pass to Griffin gets 7.
12. (Incomplete hail Mary pass)
So, that's 5 rushes and 7 passes. All of the passes were completed for good 1st down yardage except for the hail Mary attempt so, 6/7 were completed. L Miller got 7 total yards on 4 attempts rushing. Hunt had 16 yards on his one rushing attempt.
Conclusion: Don't run L Miller on 1st down because they know it's coming....

OK, just out of curiosity, I went through all the first down plays. Sometimes there was a penalty on the Texans that backed the ball up but technically, it was still first down, i.e. 1st and 20. Listed below are all the first down plays that occurred
during the drive, not the first play of the drive.
1. Oz can't find a receiver on the rollout and throws it away, inc.
2. L Miller for 2.
3. L Miller gets 1.
4. L Miller to the 1/2 yard line.
5. L Miller for 7.
6. Oz pressured, throws it towards the sideline and is
INT'ed by the Chargers.
7. Oz is sacked.
8. Pass to Hop goes to midfield, 1st down.
9. L Miller goes left side for nice gainer, fumbles at the end but the ref rules him down. 20 yards.
10. L Miller goes left side for 11, 1st down at the Charger 17.
11. L Miller loses 3.
12. Oz's pass way over the head of Fido and
INT'ed.
13. Pass to B Miller gets 12, 1st down.
14. Deep pass to Hop out of bounds, uncatchable.
15. Pass to Griffin gets 15.
16. Pass to L Miller gets 5.
17. Oz spikes it with 18 seconds left.
That is 7 rushes and 10 passes/attempts. The last six were all passes as the Texans were trying to catch up late in the game. Curiously, Oz threw 2 INT's on first downs.
Totals including the 1st play of the drive, all first down plays: 12 rushes, 17 passes.
Conclusion: L Miller carried the ball 11 of the 12 rushes on first down. He ran for 3 yards or less 7 times. The four other times, he was productive. The first down passes run the gamut of good to bad.
