- O達rien called Watt the best defensive player in the NFL.
- The Texans starting safeties will be strong safety D.J. Swearinger with newly signed Kendrick Lewis and Chris Clemons fighting for the free safety position.
- There will be a quarterback competition with Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum and T.J. Yates. O達rien said there will be a drafted quarterback in camp and even mentioned there could be two rookies in camp.
- O達rien believes this team is not too far from winning.
- The quarterback will have more control at the line of scrimmage.
- O達rien pointed out the team is being fiscally responsible in the lack of free agent movement. He also said the team is aware of what is available on the market and reminds that the team has 11 picks in the draft.
- If the Texans draft Jadeveon Clowney, he will be used in more than one position.
- Bill O達rien feels the Texans offense does not have a slot wide receiver right now. He says it is an important piece of the offense.
- As for the quarterback, O達rien wants accuracy over a cannon arm for a starting quarterback in the NFL. Wants him to be the hardest working guy on the team.

JJ should be moved around to keep offenses guessing. Left or Right DE and DT on 3rd and long. And you don't have to be a genius to realize he's the best Defensive Player in the NFL.
I'll be happy if Keo never starts again.
I can see drafting 2 QBs - one in the 1st/2nd round and one 4th round or later if they garner additional picks allowing the luxury of a 2nd rookie in Camp you could potentially place on the Practice Squad.
The Chiefs made a huge turn-around, so it isn't fart fetched the team could potentially win the AFC South if everything works right.
The QB should have more control at the Line of Scrimmage. It's the coach's responsibility to prepare the QB to be able to handle it.
If we draft Clowney he should be used at DE and OLB and be able to come off both sides. The question becomes do you want to put that much on his plate in his Rookie season, or allow him time to get comfortable doing one thing?
The slot WR is important, looking for someone to play the role of Wes Welker in this offense. I have my eye on Bruce Ellington of South Carolina.
Kyle Boller had a terrific cannon. Arm strength is nice to have, but there's much more to being a QB. I like Garrappolo because he appears to me to have the best 'head on his shoulders' and his accuracy is good due to his footwork.
The lack of FA signings means this draft is very important to get guys who can contribute quickly.
