IT makes it worse hearing comments like these from Pitts:
But for it to happen to a guy, who was very easily expected to have a 10-year career and go to Pro Bowls at least half those years. For it to happen to him, you'd expect him to be more down in the dumps. But he just stayed positive through it all.
and this:
“I’m the only person who has ever played next to him, so I know what it was like out there with him, just his intensity and his attitude he brought to the game. There aren’t a lot of guys I can share that with out there. Granted, I’ve had a lot of fun playing with my good buddy Ephraim (Salaam). But Spence had something special about him, something innate. You can’t teach what he had in him.”
I really wanted to see a healthy Spencer in a Texans uniform.
