It very well could do him in in Houston, but I think he's still on the team assuming the down time isn't too long and some unknown doesn't really blow them away in training camp. I haven't really looked a the roster to see how the numbers would work out, but I think he's likely to have a spot in the rotation even if he loses his starting gig.
It sounds to me like they just found the problem. The fact that he's had an undetected injury the last couple of years might buy him a little time too.
