If I trade Dunta, I'll replace his position with either Asher Allen or Keenan Lewis. If we trade Owen Daniels, I'll draft Shawn Nelson. If DeMeco gets dealt, I'll replace him with Scott McKillop.
I realize that draft picks don't always pan out and we are talking about very good pros who have proven themselves. However, if we can't negotiate with the players we have, then we have to move on. Take a look at how the Steelers, Eagles, Patriots, and other successful franchises deal with their Free Agents or hold outs. Either you want to be here and get a fair deal, or you want to leave and get the most money you can get.
