Texans Interested in Chris Henry?

Quote:

Former Titans running back Chris Henry, a second-round pick in 2007, may not be unemployed for long after getting dumped last week.

The Nashville Tennessean reports that Henry will visit with the Redskins Monday night and Tuesday. If he doesn't sign there, he's headed to Houston to get a look see by the Texans.

Henry's old position coach Sherman Smith is the offensive coordinator in Washington. Both the Redskins and Texans lack quality depth at running back, but Henry hasn't shown much in his NFL career to indicate he'd be of much help.
If they're looking at RB, why not just activate Foster? He's done about as much as Henry.

I would assume, something for the files...that's about it.

Well a couple of things, #1 for Kubiak is the blocking, most rookie take a while to learn who they are responsible for in the blocking scheme. #2 is holding on to the ball. Didn't he have a trouble with that when he did get on the field?

For me it would be turnovers (assuming he can carry the pig). Turnovers, lack of defense (until last sunday against Oakland), and no running game have haunted this team. anyone who can help in getting us over those humps would be welcome with me.

The chron.com is reporting that Henry has been signed to the Practice squad.

Shows you what I know.......

Never "assume" when it comes to the Texans. :p

Chris Henry is 5'11", 230, and hasn't got on the field much for Titans last two years. Sounds like a second round draft pick work out wonder type guy , but just didn't make it in NFL so far.

I thought Foster looked real good in the OTA and preseason practices, didn't see that much of a fumbleitis while I was watching anyways.

Maybe if Texans get a roster exemption for Swine Flu we will see one of these two guys activated?

IIRC no one had him above a third rounder and that was only because of his workout. He has blazing speed in the workout, but he has never been much of a player. The Tacks where laughed at when they made this selection.

I was very disappointed with Foster. Given his size and speed, he should have been able to run with much more power than he did. I'm thinking teams must have seen that and that's why he wasn't drafted.
