Brice McCain, CB - Round 6, 188th Overall

More help for the secondary. Got some speed with this pick. Might be available for returns.

ALL-MWC as a return man, supposedly clocked at a 4.28.

A faster better special team version of "Petey?"

Nconroe 04-26-2009 04:00 PM

Can't teach speed, could be a very good player .

or at least push Jacoby in the return game

Mayock thinks he can play inside out outside and likes the pick. That makes me breathe a bit easier, I think Mayock is the best evaluator on TV.

Without a doubt. He really works at it and has pro experience to help him see guys correctly.

4.19, 4.24, 4.33

I don't know just how fast this guy is, but those are some pretty fast numbers being thrown around. Sean Smith and Paul Kruger got a lot of publicity, I just wonder why we hadn't heard more about this guy.

I don't know if he can play defense, but I sure hope he can do something in the return game.

Those times are RIDICULOUS!!!! Can't wait to see what he can do with it. Hopefully, something....

If the guy can catch kicks and has some vision, the kid could be dangerous with that speed. Small guy that may have a hard time keeping the ball from being stripped buy the big hosses.

That's the key. I have to believe they drafted this kid with PR/KR in mind. If he has 'Jacoby Jones' hands, he probably won't make the team or will be on the PS.

I am clearly in the minority about Jacoby, but I don't think there's anything wrong with Jacoby's hands. His problem is immaturity. He is not listening to the coaches when they tell him to just catch the damn ball before he starts thinking about where he's going to run with it. If he gets cut it won't be bad hands that causes it, it will be that he's just not coachable. At least not yet.

That has always been the biggest thing with Marciano's kick return units, speed. Worked for Mathis, Jones, and maybe it will work for this kid.
