PK, your list isn't what I consider to be sleepers. B.J. Raji is probably going top 15, maybe top 10. Your list of centers are the top rated at their positions. I think a sleeper is a guy who turns out a lot better than where he is rated going into the draft. Ryans was a sleeper. At this point, Slaton was a sleeper. Diles - sleeper. Your qb list is obviously all potential sleepers by pretty much any definition.

A sleeper is a guy everyone misses on. He's the player that the guy that whines about management not drafting two years ago. The idiot Texans could have drafted Mister Wonderful, but passed him up to draft Mister Lead Feet. The only thing is, every other team passed him up, also. Three times.

This should be a short list that you think will make you proud someday. Like Roy said, everyone has these pet players they want to pimp.

I've already mentioned a couple of mine. Kory Sheets-RB and Jeremy Childs-WR. Both these guys go undrafted according to Draftek consensus. I'll add a couple of others that you guys have already mentioned. Jasper Brinkley -LB and Xavier Fulton-OT. Bear Pascoe-TE, also.

BTW I started tracking Raji and calling him a 1st rounder when the "experts" had him still in the 3rd round.

Victor Butler, Oregon State
Height: 6-2. Weight: 237.
Projected 40 Time: 4.60.
Projected Round (2009): 5.
1/10/09: Victor Butler had a monstrous senior campaign, finishing with 65 tackles, 21.5 TFL, 12 sacks and four forced fumbles.

12/6/08: A collegiate defensive end who will have to make the rough transition to linebacker. You can't question the numbers though; Butler has 54 tackles, 16.5 TFL and eight sacks.

These are the kind of LB's I would like to see us add in the later rounds.

Stryker Sulak, Missouri
Height: 6-5. Weight: 250.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Projected Round (2009): 5-6.
1/9/09: A situational pass-rusher in the NFL, Stryker Sulak notched 15.5 TFL, 10.5 sacks, six passes broken up and six forced fumbles as a senior.

Butler and Sulak are on my list, I'm just not confident that what they were able to do in college will translate to the NFL. That's why I'm looking for them in the 5th or 6th rounds.

Just to add one more guy I've been contemplating...

SS/LB Kevin Akins - Boston College - 6'2" 224lbs as a late round project who would become my Nickle OLB. He's pretty good in coverage and could probably add some weight to his frame. Should probably run a 4.53 or so at the Combine.

I'm still trying to get my head around why these two guys are ranked so low on most boards. If they run a 4.56, then I'm very intrigued by the possibility of what they could do in this offense. I'll also add Herb Donaldson to that list at 5'10" 222lbs.

Lucky comes with alot of baggage and a poor showing this last year. Hill doesnt have loose enough hips and bad leg drive.

Watch this guy, Houston's Vollmer

He is someone we need to target. He can swing, he can be the guy who makes Winston or Brown move inside longterm.

Plus is below the radar right now.

I saw him at the EastWest game. This is a guy who could potentially become a player like Michael Roos. The caveat being he has a long way to go.

Couple of things. BSU had their pro day yesterday. Jeremy Childs ran a 4.47 and a 4.49 40. This is more in line to what I expected him to run from watching his football speed. He ran a 4.57 at the combine. He also did a 4.11 short shuttle, which is decent. As I mentioned before, this guy makes all the catches and gets separation. He was very instrumental in BSU's success this year. I really believe he is draft material, but whether he will be or not, I can't say.

Ian Johnson stayed with his combine 40 time and didn't run. He did do a 6.86 three-cone. Would have put him in top 5 rb at combine. Weighed 211.

Wyoming RB Devin Moore ran a 4.35 and 4.37 40 and did a 4.08 short shuttle and a 6.92 three-cone and 28 reps 225 bench.

I have been re-watching the East-West Shrine game, specifically watching Sebastian Vollmer. I haven't finished the game, but am into the 4th quarter. He has taken the majority of the snaps at right tackle. Most of the time he has been going against Lawrence Sidbury. He has had a few snaps against Myron Pyor and some snaps against Orion Martin. He has doubled the dt a couple of times on running plays. Sidbury has not come close to beating him at this time in the game. Orion Martin got close on a couple of speed rushes. Both of those plays were completed passes, one for a long touchdown in the 4th quarter, so, he did give the qb time. Vollmer has looked effortless all game. If Sidbury is any good, which I think is the consensus around here, then Vollmer would be a great pick-up if he is available in later rounds. I'll watch the rest of the game and give a follow-up on how he does in the rest of the 4th quarter. Nice call, PK & Roy.
