Official ItB.com Contest: Son of 2008 Survivor Thread

You can blame Ike. You can blame the Chargers, the Broncos. Or you can man up and play the afterlife suicide round now known as Son of 2008 Survivor Contest!!!

So, rules are the same, starting anew in Week 6, you pick one winner each week, and you are NOT allowed to pick the same team twice. Once your pick loses, you're out. Once you fail to make a pick for the week, you're out, come hell or high water... literally (sadly). And again, it would help me a TON if when you pick in future weeks you also include the teams you picked in previous weeks.

Of course, the 'son of' winner won't be as cool and revered as the big daddy winner, but you'll be the proud owner of a new ItB.com t-shirt all the same (delivered anywhere within the U.S. free of charge).

Your slate of games for Week 6:
OAK @ NOS (-7.5)
BAL @ IND (-6)
CIN @ NYJ (-6.5)
CAR @ TBB (-1)
DET @ MIN (-13)
CHI @ ATL (+1)
MIA @ HOU (-3)
STL @ WAS (-13.5)
JAC @ DEN (-3.5)
PHI @ SFO (+5)
DAL @ ARI (+5)
GBP @ SEA (-2.5)
NEP @ SDC (-6)
NYG @ CLE (+9)

Can those of us still alive in the "big daddy" version participate in this one as well?

Keith 10-07-2008 03:18 PM

Yes, and you can pick the same team or different teams, whatever. Contest entry is open to all ItB.com posters. Lurkers should also feel free to register (if they haven't already) and de-lurk.

Btw, anyone having registration problems, check the site's feedback and update forum and email me with concerns.

I hope I am out after this one,

Miami

Let's just say I have a feeling, and Pats and Chargers couldn't beat them, why should our team.

Week 6: Houston Texans

well, I'll try Washington as well for week 6. I think pk should change his method of voting.

I have a method? I just have a bad feel for this one, a trap game if you want, if a game can be a trap when you are 0-4.

Da Texans!!!!!

As much as I would like to diversify my picks, I can't help but look at Washington's game this week as the money pick. Maybe next week (assuming I survive, which is always a big if) I'll start picking different games in each contest.

Keith 10-09-2008 08:49 PM

WAS for me.

barrett 10-09-2008 10:00 PM

I went with what I thought was a good team in week 1 (chargers). So this time I'll go with houston.
