2016 Schedule Taking Shape

Barring last-minute changes, the 2016 Texans opponents appear to be coming into place:

Home-and-Away (AFC South): Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Tennessee
AFC West: Home: Kansas City, San Diego - Road: Denver, Oakland
NFC North: Home: Detroit, Chicago - Road: Green Bay, Minnesota
Champion of AFC East: New England (likely road)
Champion of AFC North: Cincinnati (likely home)

NFC North home/road based on 2012 schedule.
AFC home road opponents based on 2013 schedule.

Should the Texans lose and the unthinkable happens, the Texans would get the Jets and Steelers instead of the Patriots and Bengals. Everything else is predetermined and not based on division standings.

Note there will be 4 opportunities next year for the Texans to possibly play in the cold and snow.

I believe the Vikings open their new fixed-roof stadium next year so that will be one place the cold shouldn't be a factor. Called US Bank Stadium, it will host the Super Bowl the year after (Feb 2018) the Texans host the Super Bowl (Feb 2017).

It's kinda wacky looking but seems to be big and roomy with some monster windows/doors if they ever want to let the breeze in...

Even funnier, the folks in St. Louis are building the Rams a new stadium that the Rams don't want while they try to move to Los Angeles. If that proposed stadium along the banks of the Mississippi River existed today, it would likely be up to the second deck on flood waters.
