Jags' Snakebit - Fowler Tears ACL; Done For Year

This is almost sad, particularly since the Jags passed on Washington to take this guy and now he's finito.

Later stories confirm, torn ACL, out for the season.

I'll cry for them just like they cried for the Texans when Clowney went down.

I thought about making that comparison but I decided that wasn't fair to Clowney who did play some even if it wasn't much.

I'm now 13 months removed from my ACL. I heard of a million ACL tears and these pro athletes make it seem so easy to come back. The pain of the surgery is brutal and the rehab is tough. The mental handicap when you try to come back is even tougher. These guys are pretty amazing in how they care for and repair their bodies. Fowler caught a really tough break but hopefully he makes it all the way back.

For Fowler's sake, yes. For the Jags' sake, I hope it takes awhile. ;)

We can only wish that Clowney had had an ACL instead of the injury that occurred to him and the resulting microfracture. I get it that an ACL is no walk in the park, but that's less complicated and the chances of recovery are better than with the Clowney situation from what I understand.
