Swearinger: "Clowney Calls Me Every Day"

Okay, so Clowney is bugging Swearinger every day about joining the Texans and DJ is licking his chops at the thought of Clowney and Watt on the same D-line (not a bad idea), but this part is where you start to go "hmmmm":
Quote:

Swearinger also said the Texans wouldn't have to worry about Clowney's work ethic. The Texans new strength and conditioning coach is Craig Fitzgerald, who also served as South Carolina's strength and conditioning coach in 2011.

"That's sort of somebody who kept [Clowney] straight," Swearinger said. "I think it would be a huge asset getting Clowney, because Fitzgerald always stayed on Clowney on everything and had him working 100 percent all the time. The work ethic thing, I don't think will be a problem."
Think it's any coincidence that the Texans just hired the Strength coach who rode Clowney as a freshman to keep him in line? Wouldn't surprise me if Swearinger himself is also going to be Clowney's mentor if he comes here.

Clowney might have the least amount of question marks - the "safe" pick, ala Mario Williams - picked more for being an elite athlete.

Bridgewater is good but meh, Bortles reminds me of Tannehill vers. 2014 and Manziel is the wildest of wild cards....

There's still the combine to go through. At least this year, I'm good with any of the above (if they don't trade down). In 2006, I was totally stunned that they didn't take Reggie Bush.....
