Count Mockula

Just for grins, here's my mock:

1. Mia: OT Jake Long, Michigan. I feel pretty good about getting this one right.

2. SL: DT Glenn Dorsey, LSU. DC Jim Haslett loves him, despite the injury concerns.

3. Atl: DT Sedrick Ellis, USC. They talk to the Saints about trading but decide to solidify their interior D.

4. Oak: DE Chris Long, Virginia. Al hopes he’ll restore “the greatness of the Raiduhs” even without a flattop.

5. KC: DE Vernon Gholston, Ohio St. Banking on being able to get an OT later due to the depth at the position.

6. NYJ: RB Darren McFadden, Arkansas. An instant-impact player to a team looking to make a big jump.

7. NE: OT Branden Albert, Virginia. Belichick loves his versatility and the endorsement of Al Groh.

8. Bal: QB Matt Ryan, Boston College. Hoping he’s not another Kyle Boller.

9. Cin: DE Derrick Harvey, Florida. Pass rusher to replace Justin Smith.

10. NO: CB Leodis McKelvin, Troy. The CB they’ve needed for a couple years.

11. Buf: WR Devin Thomas, Michigan St. Should be a nice complement to Lee Evans.

12. Den: OT Ryan Clady, Boise St. They’re paper-thin at OT.

13. Car: OT Jeff Otah, Pittsburgh. Can start off at OG and move to OT if Jordan Gross leaves after next season.

14. Chi: RB Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois. Hoping he’s not another Rashaan Salaam, Curtis Enis, or Cedric Benson.

15. Det: RB Jonathan Stewart, Oregon. The RB they’ve been looking for since Barry Sanders retired.

16. Arz: CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Tennessee St. Their secondary has major issues.

17. KC: OT Chris Williams, Vanderbilt. And they do snag their OT.

18. Hou: LB Keith Rivers, USC. Not the greatest need, but another quality addition to the defense.

19. Phi: WR Limas Sweed, Texas. They’ve been looking for a big WR all offseason.

20. TB: CB Mike Jenkins, South Florida. In case Patrick Buchanan reverts to his Texan form.

21. Was: DE Phillip Merling, Clemson. If the Bengals weren’t the Bengals they’d dump Chad Johnson and be picking here.

22. Dal: RB Felix Jones, Arkansas. Jerry goes home to get a RB to team with Marion Barber.

23. Pit: OT Gosder Cherilus, Boston College. The Steeler OL isn’t what it once was.

24. Ten: LB Jerod Mayo, Tennessee. Jeff Fisher says to hold the Mayo in-state (sorry).

25. Sea: TE Dustin Keller, Purdue. Holmgren’s offense needs a better TE than Jeb Putzier.

26. Jax: DE Lawrence Jackson, USC. They had interest in Jared Allen and have been eyeing Jackson.

27. SD: CB Brandon Flowers, Virginia Tech. No major needs so they add depth in the secondary.

28. Dal: CB Aqib Talib, Kansas. Jerry feels you can never have enough degenerate CBs.

29. SF: WR Desean Jackson, California. They hope his speed will open things up for Vernon Davis.

30. GB: S Kenny Phillips, Miami. They’d prefer a CB but Phillips is the better value here.

31. NYG: S Tyrell Johnson, Arkansas St. A little earlier than expected, but a solid player who fills a need.

lol talib to dallas , esp after failing 3 drug tests( I could see Jerry doing that)

Quote:

Specifically, Talib admitted at the Combine to testing positive for marijuana three times while at the University of Kansas, according to several league sources. While teams appreciated Talib’s honesty, it bothered one team that Talib dismissed the first positive test because he said he had told Kansas head coach Mark Mangino that he was going to test positive.

Count Mockula.... :D

It wouldn't be a mock around here without a title like that.

Under this scenario I have to believe we'd take Brown or Chelius.
