I have to imagine those odds might change if the Texans win on Sunday to secure home field advantage. If not, then they seem to be a small bargain at 7-1 in my amateur opinion (note the Falcons at 6-1). I kinda like the Packers at 8-1, too, but what do I know. The season starts fresh in January...

At the link, kinda strange that the 49'ers are the top rated NFC team to win the Superbowl at 5:1 yet, the Packers and Falcons (both at 9:4) are favorites to win the NFC. 49'ers are 11:4 to win the NFC....

I'm thinking the devil-worshipping-east-coast-media-NFL-corporate TV-illuminati would love to see some combination of Brady/Payton/Rodgers/49'ers in the big game..... Would love to see the Texans and Falcons crash the party....

Denver Broncos 2/1
New England Patriots 5/2
San Francisco 49ers 4/1
Atlanta Falcons 6/1
Seattle Seahawks 9/1
Green Bay Packers 9/1
Houston Texans 20/1
Washington Redskins 20/1
Baltimore Ravens 25/1
Cincinnati Bengals 50/1
Minnesota Vikings 75/1
Indianapolis Colts 80/1

Texans now 20/1 to win the SuperBowl and 9/1 to win the AFC.

A lot of Texan fans on suicide watch around the internet.... Most convinced the Texans will choke like dogs on Sunday. If I was that convinced they would lose, I'd empty out the bank accounts, the 401K, the PayPal account, pawn all my valuables, find the nearest bookie and put it all on Cincinnati. Then I could still mope about the Texans sucking but at least I'd have a bunch a money to cheer me up......:p

I'm no pro at this, but Atlanta's number seems to have some value here. They could go the whole way playing in a dome either at home or close enough to it.

I'm no pro either but I would agree. Atlanta is dangerous and flying under the radar (as much as a 13-3 team can be overlooked).... perhaps due to their recent playoff record.

Side note, their coach Mike Smith played the Week 17 Tampa Bay game to win.... They ended up losing the game and a few players, notably their great pass rusher Abraham, got dinged up... Interesting that he (Smith) said (paraphrasing) "we get paid to win games" which led to a discussion on NFLN about "winning games" vs. "winning Superbowls"....

I would like to short the Redskins, please.

Mike Smith would have a terrible time as an Astros fan.
