Stephen Hill W/R

His stock has shot up since the combine, and that 4.32/40. I was hoping we could get him with the 26th pick, but now it looks like he will be gone before our turn. I would give a 3rd & our 1st to move up. What do you think?

AJ needs and deserves beter support than he has gotten from either Jacobe Jones or Walter.

I don't see Smith giving up picks at this juncture, especially with what they have had to cull this year. They need to rebuild depth.

Just my opinion.

If Hill rising causes Kendall Wright to fall to us, I'll take that gamble. What is it about Jacoby Jones that convinces me that speed alone isn't a reason to draft a wide receiver? Between speed and production, I'd favor production - within reason, of course. I realize Hill at Ga. Tech doesn't touch the ball much because it's an option offense but I got to see Demaryus Thomas a lot with the Broncos (a fellow yellow jacket) and he's a mixed bag, reminds me of another first-rounder whose speed got him into the first round - Ashley Lelie.

Wright just ran a 4.46 today. Even accounting for better pro day times it will put to rest any speed concerns for him. Unfortunately, I doubt he's on the board when we draft.

But it is a pretty deep WR draft this year, we don't have to take one in the firstr round unless that's the value. Hill has shot up the charts like crazy from his combine and size.

Ditto.

All this 40 talk scares the hell out of me.

I don't wanna draft a guy in the first based on the big "P" word- POTENTIAL.

Think Darius Heyward Bey......4.25 40. I think he's closer to Bey than an AJ Green.

Think the Raiders want a do over?

I want a proven, polished football player, not a project, in the First Round.

Just My Opinion.

Dreeson ( according to da General) will decide between the Texans and the Broncos by Monday.

He might very likely believe Payton can take the Broncos to the Super Bowl right now. If so we will need to replace him quickly.

If so, and the top 4 WRs are gone by the time we pick, I think TE Coby Fleener, 6-6, 248, Stanford, would be a reasonable option for our #1 pick.

Yes!

:)

Fleener at the Stanford pro day today, ran a 4.5 with the wind, and a 4.54 against it. Pretty remarkable for someone his size. His vertical was 37". He is due to go late first or early second, and assuming the top 4 WRs are gone. so he would seem to be a perfect candidate for our first pick.

If we really want Hill, we had better trade up to #18, because he will never get past Chicago at #19.
