the upcoming Titans game, wk 17

Texans are in the playoffs but trying to get back their momentum.

Titans need a win to have a chance at playoffs so should be a fun game.

Defensively we need to force a few turnovers.

Offensively need a little more consistency sustaining drives and win time of possessionm

Texans have nothing to gain by winning and may actually benefit by losing (better draft position and the possibility they luck into the Titans again as the wild card opponent). I think they'll play hard for the first half and then rest some of their wounded stars in the second half. Why risk getting Foster, AJ. etc. hurt in the 4th quarter of a game that doesn't really matter? Will we give Delhomme some snaps just to get him ready if needed in the playoffs?

I agree with you Bob, I don't see the horses going much into the 2nd half. I read somewhere, can't remember where, but Kubiak stated Dre would be on a pitch count, 15-20 IIRC.

It would be nice to stick it to them, but we can't afford to lose anyone else.

Although it was mostly to recover in case the lockout shortened the season, I like the idea of ending the season with divisional games. It leaves intrigue until the final week and I think teams are less likely to lay down against a team they have to face twice a year and can, in theory, be one of your most hated opponents.

Yeah, I'm afraid those of us who picked the Texans to go 10-6 before the season started might end up being right. Shame, cause 12-4 seemed like such a cinch for a while, there. Would like to see TJ to show growth at the QB position and get a little of his initial swag back so that there's some hope in the playoffs. The passing game has got to get better.....

Texans are 2-2 ATS (against the spread) as an underdog. If Texan defense shows up strong, Texans at home, who knows....

I guaranteed at least 10-6 before the season started, assuming they settled the strike. Now that we are assured of at least that, I will be tremendously dissatisfied if we don't win this last game. Sure we have had an inordinate amount of injuries to some of our key players, BUT we need to restore momentum going into the playoffs.

It doesn't count if you say 10-6 every year..... ;)

If you say it, and I did, then it sure as heck counts. It's funny how, at the start of the season the band waggoneers moan and groan, but after we have a good season, they all say they were positive we would win more than we lost.

I remember predicting 8-8 coming off a 6-10 season but who knew we'd hit the jackpot with draft picks and free agency instead of the usual massive disappointments?
