Official 2019 NFL Draft - Round 2 & 3 Thread

Two picks coming in the second round and another in the third.

54
55
86

The extra second comes from Seattle for Duane Brown.

Huge opportunity to improve the roster this day.

HPF Bob 04-26-2019 12:54 PM

Hoping we choose OG, CB, and ? (TE, WR, RB, S)

bikerack 04-26-2019 05:57 PM

I vote either RB or S...along with the CB and OL. I think the 3rd is where most of the RBs will go.

This is my wish also.

bikerack 04-26-2019 06:33 PM

There's a run on all the wrong positions going on right now.

bikerack 04-26-2019 07:47 PM

Lonnie Johnson, CB, Kentucky @ 54

bikerack 04-26-2019 07:50 PM

OT Max Scharping, N. Illinois @ 55

HPF Bob 04-26-2019 07:54 PM

Johnson is a tall corner who needs better technique. But, as they say in the NBA, you can't coach height.

Sharping is another LT candidate which means the Texans can have an open tryout between Kalil, Davenport, Howard and Sharping with probably one moving inside with Rankin.

bikerack 04-26-2019 07:56 PM

KC just traded up to draft T. Hill's replacement.

Scharping also has experience at RG

New #Texans OL Max Scharping is a bright guy. He was recruited by Yale and other Ivys. At the Senior Bowl, he said he'd sell teams on the ability to be a quick study capable of playing all over the line. Wonder why the Texans liked him.

painekiller 04-26-2019 08:05 PM

I like it a lot. Both OTs were targets of mine. IMO RB in the 5th

Arky 04-26-2019 08:13 PM

I'd say tackle and CB have been addressed. Now for the fun stuff....

Gaine was very good last year in the late rounds. Hopefully, he can do it again.

chuck 04-26-2019 08:18 PM

If these two OL are any good at all the team could end up with a perfectly respectable and young line that can work together for any number of years.

I think Luhnow has reached out to the Chiefs asking about Hill.

Miami trading for Rosen

Quote:

Cardinals paid Josh Rosen $11M for one season. Dolphins will pay Josh Rosen $6M over the next three seasons (and have a team option for a fourth). Incredible value for Miami.

Well, we know he can run and we know he can hit...

bikerack 04-26-2019 08:53 PM

Rams took RB Henderson from Memphis. Houston spent a lot of time with him. The only other one I know they spent a ton of time with is T. Williams from A&M.

bikerack 04-26-2019 09:27 PM

Couple of good CBs still on the board if they want to stock up...

bikerack 04-26-2019 09:33 PM

Dang - PIT just took Justin Layne. OK...go RB.

painekiller 04-26-2019 09:37 PM

I am hoping Love from Norte Dame or Williams RB from A&M

bikerack 04-26-2019 09:42 PM

Bye Ryan Griffin

TE Kahale Warring, SD St

John Harris calls him maybe the best athlete in the entire draft...reminds him of Kelce

HPF Bob 04-26-2019 09:46 PM

Remember when I mused about finding a power forward to play TE (such as Antonio Gates or Julius Thomas)? Now we have Warring who shows good speed and hands. Probably can't block well but provides a target.

He was also goalie for his HS's water polo team...so there's that....

bikerack 04-26-2019 10:24 PM

Yodny Cajuste to the Pats. Another good pick for them.

bikerack 04-26-2019 10:26 PM

Only 3 RBs ranked on NFL.com ahead of Trayveon Williams. I'm not thinking he lasts until the 5th pick.

Arky 04-26-2019 10:31 PM
