Official 2015 NFL Draft - Round 4-7 Thread

One more day... the draft comes and goes so fast after such a long wait.

These trade-ups are expensive, but I like this draft class so far. Still have concerns at center and OLB, possibly even DL and TE, so I expect some big uglies here on Day 3.

Roy P 05-02-2015 11:09 AM

Day 3

Bargain bin shopping searching for diamonds in the rough. Not happy about some of the players who are going to be drafted in the 4th round and the Texans won't be able to select. I wonder how many of these guys are taken in the 4th round?

OT T.J. Clemmings Pittsburgh
WR Rashad Greene Fla State
QB Bryce Petty Baylor
NT Grady Jarrett Clemson
RB Jay Ajayi Boise St
OLB Anthony Chickillo Miami

Gonna be a long wait today. Long shot, but maybe they move DSwag for something today. Might as well get a late pick or something for him if he's not in your plans. For how it's gone so far, Smith apparently is trying to get quality over quantity this year. Hope it works.

Roy P 05-02-2015 12:23 PM

The Jets select the QB I hoped that the Texans would take. :(

Roy P 05-02-2015 12:31 PM

Atlanta takes my scrappy WR prospect Justin Hardy from ECU at #107

Warren 05-02-2015 12:34 PM

I'd like to seem them take a late flyer on UMass TE Jean Sifrin. He's an athletic but raw receiving TE who could develop into a nice complement to Fiedorowicz. O'Brien got his start in coaching under Mark Whipple, the UMass head coach, so there's a connection there.

chuck 05-02-2015 12:40 PM

I don't know which way they're going to go with the next pick but he sure as shit better be twitchy.

Roy P 05-02-2015 12:44 PM

I am wondering how Jamison Crowder was drafted before Rashad Greene. Mario Edwards before Grady Jarrett or Michael Bennett. If the Texans want a QB, Brett Hundley is starting to look good. I thought he'd be over-valued and taken in the 2nd round before Bryce Petty. If he's still on the board in the 5th, he would be hard to pass on.

Roy P 05-02-2015 12:50 PM

I don't know if the Texans want to play McKinney at OLB, but if not, My Guys Anthony Chickillo, Za'Darius Smith, Davis Tull, Kyle Emanuel, and Alani Fua might be nice to have. The Tight Ends I am wanting : Jesse James and Blake Bell are my big targets. Mycole Pruitt and Wes Saxton are twitchy. RBs or another WR are also options.

Roy P 05-02-2015 12:56 PM

And.....Blake Bell goes to the 49ers. Sad panda.

Roy P 05-02-2015 01:16 PM

Ozzie Newsome selected Za'Darius Smith and Javorious "Buck" Allen. Good pick here at #125.

Roy P 05-02-2015 01:28 PM

Ted Thompson gets my guy Jake Ryan to replace AJ Hawk. Excellent pick.

popanot 05-02-2015 01:42 PM

Freaking Kubiak takes the C I wanted, Max Garcia.

Roy P 05-02-2015 01:42 PM

Roy P 05-02-2015 01:53 PM

Wow....Grady Jarrett, David Cobb, Rashad Greene, and Ben Heeney to open the 5th round. GREAT value picks.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:02 PM

MyCole Pruitt to the Vikings....Jesse James is looking very good now. Though, Chickillo and Hundley are intriguing. Tre McBride too.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:15 PM

I guess Ted Thompson was thinking that Brett Hundley was just too good to pass up.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:18 PM

And the Saints get Davis Tull for Coach Ryan to play OLB.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:22 PM

If Jay Ajayi is 'healthy' the Dolphins just got a steal at pick #149.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:35 PM

Davis Tull and Kyle Emanual are off the board, making Chickillo prime for picking.

Roy P 05-02-2015 02:53 PM

Jesse James is no longer an option. Gone to the Steelers. :o

Roy P 05-02-2015 03:06 PM

United States Naval Academy graduate Joe Cardona drafted by the Patriots at #166

Who I have left on my board...

OLB Anthony Chickillo Miami
WR Tre McBride Will&Mary
NT Derrick Lott Chattanooga
RB Zach Zenner S. Dakota St
ILB Mike Hull Penn State
CB Justin Coleman Tennessee
WR Antwan Goodley Baylor
CB Charles Gaines Louisville
FS Kurtis Drummond Mich St
FS Cody Prewitt Mississippi
RB Cameron Artis-Payne Auburn
RB Tyler Varga Yale
ILB Bryce Hager Baylor
TE Nick O'Leary Fla State
NT Xavier Williams N. Iowa
OLB Alani Fua BYU
TE Nick Boyle Delaware
QB Shane Carden East Carolina
TE Wes Saxton S. Alabama

Blitzwood 05-02-2015 03:16 PM

Drummond, Holliman , and D. Smith still available. X. Williams, Hull, or best OLB would be nice.

In hindsight, I think we gave a little much (4 &6) to move up for McKinney when Kendricks and Perryman would still have been there...

Blitzwood 05-02-2015 03:22 PM

Michael Bennet and L. Collins still available as well. I would take a flier on either one at the bottom of the 5th.

Roy P 05-02-2015 03:27 PM

KR Keith Mumphery.

REALLY?!? KR/WR Keith Mumphery is the newest Texan. Unbelievable. I'm wondering what's the deal with DL Michael Bennett from The Ohio State and OLB Anthony Chickillo from The U. Punters, Long Snappers, and Kick Returners getting drafted before them.

Nconroe 05-02-2015 03:28 PM

Mumphrie, WR, from Michigan St., supposed to be 6ft 215, jumps , good special teams.

Warren 05-02-2015 03:29 PM

Keith Mumphrey. 5-11, 215 possession receiver. Great intangibles, potential special teams leader.

Warren 05-02-2015 03:31 PM

Does not appear to be twitchy!

popanot 05-02-2015 03:34 PM

NFLN says he's more built like a RB. Maybe COP RB for us?

Arky 05-02-2015 03:36 PM

Michael Bennett finally gets picked, and it's by the Jaguars.

Nconroe 05-02-2015 03:43 PM

Interesting, looks like this next season we will have four new wide receivers and three or four new safeties.

Getting younger in some of the speed positions.

Blitzwood 05-02-2015 03:43 PM

And a 7th round -udfa grade too.

Great kid I'm sure, but somebody at OLB would be nice...

Roy P 05-02-2015 04:13 PM

If anyone had told me that I could have selected Chickillo at #195 in this draft, I would have been very pleased. Now, we don't have #195 anymore because we traded up, but here's the list of still available at this point in the draft.

OLB Anthony Chickillo Miami
WR Tre McBride Will&Mary
NT Derrick Lott Chattanooga
RB Zach Zenner S. Dakota St
ILB Mike Hull Penn State
CB Justin Coleman Tennessee
WR Antwan Goodley Baylor
FS Kurtis Drummond Mich St
FS Cody Prewitt Mississippi

WEAKNESSES Twitch just isn't there.

chuck 05-02-2015 04:52 PM

I wonder if this means they plan on trying McKinney outside.

Roy P 05-02-2015 04:53 PM

Pittsburgh puts me out of my misery and draft Chickillo at #212. Wow.

chuck 05-02-2015 04:55 PM

Hell, Cliett plays outside. Never mind.

Roy, has anyone ever made a good draft pick that wasn't a "My Guy(tm)"? Or has anyone ever made a bad draft pick that was a "My Guy (tm)"?
