You're taught to knock it away. Quin knocked it away, and the Jacksoffville player was in the right place at the right time. Freak play. We have bad luck. NO surprise here.

You're right...you're taught to knock it AWAY...that was not a freak play...That was a dumb play...He had clear sight as to who he was hitting it to...I bet he was thinking damn, damn, damn, damn, damn...

Use common sense...If you wanna knock it down...hit it backwards or out of bounds...hell he could have just caught it...he was the only one within 5 yards of the catch....

Quinn's play was totally void of any common sense at all but it is a mistake to focus on the one play. I'll forget about the first half where the high powered offense scored a mighty three points against a terrible defense. Dreesen is offsides on a potential big play to Walter. Then he fumbles the football on an idiotic play - had he not fumbled it the team had no time to get the field goal unit on the field. Then Antonio Smith predictably gets an encroachment penalty.

And think about this:

Arian Foster carried the ball 15 times. He's possibly the best running back in the NFL. Fifteen.

Garrard threw for damn near 350 yards. David Freaking Garrard.

My question is "was any of this a surprise?"

Week after week the offense is getting more and more predictable.

Week after week the defense is showing another area they suck in.

If you follow the trend. We are headed for a molly-whopping next week and a 6-10 record.

Big Texas 11-14-2010 03:46 PM

Kubiak's press conference:

"well it was a hell of a game. We gotta just get back to practice and find out what the problem is.

"we stopped giving Foster the ball, because we had to stay in the flow of the game"

"blah, blah, blah...bullshit, bullshit, bullshit"

I thought that the Texans would go 6-10. Now I'm seriously not sure that they will win another game. The defense gets worse each week and Kubiak refuses to modify the offense in acknowledgement of that.

.

The run game was not working. The Jaguars pass D is almost as bad as ours.

In that case, you should use Foster more in screen plays and dumpoffs.

I swear, I think I need to copy and save that somewhere so I can just copy/paste it where necessary.

Foster ran the ball fifteen times. That is not enough to determine whether it is working or not. He gained 56 yards on 15 carries.

I'm with you on the screens, though. He's a real weapon with the ball in his hands and I'd get it to him any way I could.

I think in a game where you know the opposing pass D sucks big, if you're not getting consistent 6 yard chunks running, don't even bother and get the ball to him in other ways.

Whatever. That's the least of my concern right now. I'm trying to find out what I did to deserve this...with all my sports interests.

I have about had it with this team, the Jekyl & Hyde offense, the worst defense I have ever seen, and the coach and all the pretender assistant coaches. They are an embarrasment to the League. McNair, you better do something before you lose the whole city of fans. At this rate your TExans will not win another game this year. 4-12!!!
