The question coming in to tonight's game...can we keep up with a high powered offense?

A resounding...HELL NO

Arky 10-14-2012 09:34 PM

All that nonsense just burned up nearly 1/2 a quarter..... Where's the defense?

------------------------------------

Martin brings the ensuing kickoff back to the Texan 22. Texans ball.

------------------------

Pass to AJ good for 2.

Pass to KW good for about 11 and a 1st down.

Foster for 2. 2nd and 8 coming up.

Schaub sacked for big loss. Makes it 3rd and 20.

Schaub throws it down at the ground, inc. Texans to punt.

Cobb fields the punt and gets nowhere.... Packers ball at their 20.

Prior to tonight Green Bay didn't play teams so mfking stupid that they line up offsides on punts and leap on the back of linemen during field goal attempts and beat on the opposing team's helmet in full view of the referee.

Other than that I agree that the officiating has been suspect.

It would be great, though, to have a running game.

chuck 10-14-2012 09:36 PM

Dom Capers is out-coaching Wade Phillips. FML.

The leaping penalty was a joke. He didn't jump off of anyone.

The offsides was very questionable. Especially when on the ensuing possession Matthews lined up further offsides and THEN jumped on the way to wrecking a running play.

Arky 10-14-2012 09:39 PM

Rodgers pass is tipped inc. by Barwin. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Green for no gain. 3rd and 10 coming up.

Pass to Nelson good for 9.5. Packers to punt...

Martin brings the punt back to the Texan 35. Texans ball.

He put his feet on the back of the guy in front of him. It was unintentional but it must be called. Did you see the end of the Buffalo Arizona game? There was a guy that jumped 100 feet in the air and clearly didn't touch anyone.

The Texans are playing like dogshit. Whining about the refs is weak. The game is still winnable. I'm going to focus on that for now.

Arky 10-14-2012 09:43 PM

Pass to OD goes for 27. Ball at the Packer 38.

Pass to AJ goes for 9. 2nd and 1 coming up.

Foster slips for 3 and the 1st down.

Pass to OD off the mark, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Pass to Martin goes to the 13 yard line. 1st down.

Pass to AJ in the endzone too tall, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Pass to Martin goes to the 1/2 yard line...

Foster for no gain. 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line....

Foster punches it in for the TD!

Packers 28, Texans 17

17 seconds left in the 3rd quarter.

C'mon defense!

Arky 10-14-2012 09:49 PM

Cobb brings the ensuing kickoff back all the way to the Packer 43.

------------------------------

Green for about 9. 2nd and 1 coming up.

End of the 3rd quarter.

Big Texas 10-14-2012 09:50 PM

I wonder...

Did we switch our defense because of the loss of Cushing

OR

Because we were playing the Packers?

Big Texas 10-14-2012 09:51 PM

It seems like every blitz that Wade has dialed up has been recognized and blocked up...

You might as well drop everyone back in coverage

I think it's pretty clear that Joseph is hurt and the team is hiding that fact. I would, too, but if you remove Cushing and limit Joseph you are talking about two of the team's three best defensive players. Triple team Watt and you see what you get.

Arky 10-14-2012 09:53 PM

On 2nd and 1, Rodgers, pressured, throws it too long for everyone... 3rd and 1 coming up.

Rodgers gets pressure but Crabtree is wide open for the TD.....

Packers 35, Texans 17

14:46 left in the game.

chuck 10-14-2012 09:56 PM

The refs must have caused that, too.

popanot 10-14-2012 09:57 PM

Ridiculous. Get ready for the "See what happens when the Texans play a good team" talk.

Yeah, lets huddle up Kubiak.

Big Texas 10-14-2012 09:57 PM

Even the commentators are calling us flukes. What once looked like a powerhouse team, now looks like the younger brother you finally let play.

Arky 10-14-2012 09:58 PM

The ensuing kickoff goes out of the endzone. Texans ball at their 20.

------------------------------

Schaub's pass too tall for AJ, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Schaub's pass is picked off by the Packers. Packers ball at the Texan 27.

Big Texas 10-14-2012 09:58 PM

I refer back to my previous post...

Shaub throws 2 picks before this game is over.

Arky 10-14-2012 10:02 PM

Green for 5.

Green for 5 and the 1st down.

Green for loss of 1. 2nd and 11 coming up.

Pass to Jones in the endzone is complete for the TD.

Packers 42, Texans 17

12:16 left in the game.
