he should have had the ball. In the meantime Cushing is down, doesn't look good. |
I'm getting so sick of this league. The inconsistency of the calls on the field along with the fact the D can't do squat anymore without getting a flag. Yet, the offense take guys out at the knees and do whatever the hell they want. I'm sick to my stomach right now.
|
The season officially enters throw away territory if Cushing is done for the year. I mean fire the coach before the bye week, bury starters on IR, play young guys, and play for draft position.

Case for president!
|
If I can just watch Case Keenum run around for the next 10 games I'll be happy.
|
Thank goodness the ensuing kickoff goes out of the endzone, touchback. Texans ball at their 20.
--------------------------------------- Keenum buys 5 minutes and hits AJ deep for a big gainer. 42 yards. Dumpoff to Tate goes for no gain. Keenum can't find a receiver and grounds the pass, inc. 3rd and 10 coming up. Pass to Graham only gets 9...... Texans to go for the FG. Bullock's 47-yarder is good. Chiefs 17, Texans 16 4:21 left in the 3rd quarter. |
Quite a game. Even Bullock hitting FG now. Another turnover would be sweet.
|
Watching the replay I am trying to decide if Keo or Reed looked worse on the 3rd and 21 pickup.
|
Chiefs bring the ensuing kickoff back to their 13. Chiefs ball.
--------------------------------- Short pass to Charles goes all the way to the Chief 34. 21 yards. Flags presnap. False start Chiefs. 1st and 15 coming up. Smith is sacked by Mitchell. Makes it 2nd and 21 coming up. Charles for no gain. 3rd and 21 coming up. Damn, short pass to McCluster goes for big gainer. B Reed saves the TD. Ball at the Texan 34. Charles for 6. Charles goes all the way to the Texan 10. 1st and goal. Davis goes left for 3. End of the 3rd quarter. |
Does Cushing make that play on Charles if he's in there, who knows ?
Charles is a much harder runner than i realized, I thought he was basically all speed & moves. |
I think I have to be done with football for the foreseeable future. The same ****************ing knee on the same ****************ing guy got blown out on ANOTHER dirty low block. Meanwhile you've got this pussified, bullshit league that coddles offensive players and offers no protection for defensive players.
This is a joke. I feel today the same way I felt while watching Lakers/Kings Game 6 in 2002. This is the day the music died for me in the NFL. I can no longer truly take it seriously. It's the beginning of the end. |
I'm sold on Case, and ILB now is a bigger priority in the draft.
Fire Coach Joe tonight |
On 2nd and goal from the 7, Smith's pass to Fasano just short of the goal line. Chiefs challenging that he crossed the goal line......
Play stands as called. 3rd and goal from about the 6-inch line..... Charles stopped short! Chiefs to go for it on 4th down..... Smith's pass is caught but out of bounds! Texans takeover at the 1! |
Texans D matched the Chiefs GL stand, now Keenum is gonna have to stand on the GL with that crowd going nutz and make a play.
|
At least a fired coach likely means a new ST coach too. I can't imagine anyone taking this job and agreeing to keep him.
|
Nice, no excellent, goal line stand. Hold on.

I'm not there with the NFL yet but I wouldn't begrudge another for it. |
Keenum's pass to Graham off the mark, inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.
Pass to Hopkins goes for big gainer. Ball at the Texan 36. Pass to AJ goes inc. 2nd and 10 coming up. Keenum scrambles for 1. 3rd and 9 coming up. Keenum gets sacked. Texans have to punt. McCluster brings the punt back to the Chiefs 40 but flag on the play..... Holding on Chiefs backs it up.... Ball is placed at the Chiefs 8. 11:28 left in the game. |
Marciano is 100% on McNair. A new coach wouldn't have any say in it. Not that it matters since Case is obviously going to save Kubiak's ass.
|
Smith is sacked by Watt! Loss of 3.
Pass to McCluster goes for 10. 3rd and 3 coming up. Smith's pass is batted down by Watt, inc. Chiefs have to punt. Martin fair catches at the Texan 41. Texans ball. 9:37 left in the game. |

Stuff like that is also why I don't want an owner involved in any way in football decisions. |
Just imagine what Case can do with two whole weeks of practice with the first team offense.
|
Tate for no gain.
Keenum pressured throws a completed pass for 2 yards. 3rd and 8 coming up. Timeout Texans....... On 3rd and 8, Keenum under heavy pressure, fumbles but Texans recover. Texans will have to punt. McCluster brings the punt back to the about the Chiefs 47. Chiefs ball. |
Well, I'm gonna think positive and hope special teams makes a big play.
|
GDammit, I can't believe the coverage let him get outside again on that punt return !
|
Braman needs to go.
|
I seen enough of McCain bouncing off runners.

Pass goes to Texan 40.
Charles for 2. 2nd and 8 coming up. Pass to Fasano gets 4. 3rd and 4 coming up. Watt injured on the play. Believe he got the wind knocked out of him.... Pass is INT'ed by Keo! Texans ball at their 22 with 5:47 left in the game. Play under review..... |
keo for the pick
|
"KO" Keo strikes again !
|
I wasn't really calling this game, just noting that Keenum is going to produce far more than Schaub and that over the remainder of the year that should be enough.
I do not believe it. Keo. |
But f it, sure, we're going to win this one.
|
Pretty good interception by Keo. We got a chance.
Well, now need another stop by defense. |

Look, i hope Case is the real deal, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. |
Keenum has played very well but he has really struggled to identify blitzers. A couple of weeks of reps should hopefully help with that.
|
Ruling on the field stands as called. Texans ball.
---------------------------------- Tate for 1. Screen to Tate goes for 5. 3rd and 4 coming up. Keenum gets sacked. Texans have to punt. Chiefs field the punt and run out of bounds at their 34. Chiefs ball with 4:04 left in the game. |
I've seen enough of Ed Reed also.
