McCain is killing our defense. I can't believe they don't have a better option for 3rd cb.

I was watching the Cowboys earlier and noticed how at virtually every incompletion they'd jump up and act like they'd been brutally violated by a horde of Mongols. Sadly it often worked.

Doesn't look like anyone is playing well on D to me.

Arky 10-20-2013 04:37 PM

He's bad. But for me the fact that the entire line backing corps is invisible, especially the OLBs, is worse.

popanot 10-20-2013 04:38 PM

Nice defense there. Let them drive 99 yards and eat up the clock. WTH!

barrett 10-20-2013 04:38 PM

We've now gotten so bad on redzone defense that we give up walk in TDs on broken plays where the offense doesn't even know what they are doing.

BigBull 10-20-2013 04:41 PM

My question is when does Wade start getting some heat for lack of a pass rush and horrible red zone defense?

popanot 10-20-2013 04:44 PM

I missed the start of the game. Do we get the ball to start the 2nd half?

Yes. The Texans won and deferred.

Just kidding. The Chiefs won and took the ball.

Arky 10-20-2013 04:45 PM

The ensuing kickoff goes out of the endzone, touchback. Texans ball at their 20.

---------------------------------------

Tate for 8. 2nd and 2 coming up.

Tate for about 10 and the 1st down. Texans call timeout. 13 seconds left in the half.

Pass to Jean goes for 10. 8 seconds left.

Pass to Jean gets 10 more. Ball at the Chiefs 41 with 1 seconds left.

Timeout Texans.

Keenum's hail Mary in the endzone is almost caught but falls inc.

End of the half.

Chiefs 14, Texans 10

nunusguy 10-20-2013 04:46 PM

Don't know 'bout the rest of the game, but at the half, couldn't ask more of Keenum.

Big Texas 10-20-2013 04:48 PM

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Keenum looks good...especially since he is going up against the best defense in the league...

So even if we lose (do to a defense that plays good on two out every three plays). Does Shaub get his job back?

Nconroe 10-20-2013 04:48 PM

Case Keenum more than met my expectations so far. No turnovers, no sacks, good play. Now defense has to pick it up.

Btw. Keenum's arm didn't look to weak on toss to the end zone.

I would hope Kubiak sticks with Keenum if this continues.

Arky 10-20-2013 04:52 PM

Halftime stats:

Tackles: KJ 4, Mays/Swearinger 3 each, E Reed/Cushing/Sharpton/Keo/Mercilus 2 each

Time of possession: Texans 14:46, Chiefs 15:14

1st downs: Texans 10, Chiefs 13

3rd down efficiency: Texans 4/6, Chiefs 4/6

Red zone: Texans 0/0, Chiefs 2/2

Total yards: Texans 215, Chiefs 185

Penalties: Texans 3/30, Chiefs 2/6

Turnovers: Texans 0, Chiefs 0

I agree, let it ride.

Arky 10-20-2013 05:02 PM

2nd half kickoff goes out of the endzone, touchback. Texans ball at their 20.

--------------------------------

Keenum can't find a receiver and scrambles for 8 or 9.

Tate gets 2 and the 1st down.

Tate gets caught for loss of 2. Tate injured on the play. Oh boy, no Cierre Wood. Injury timeout.

nunusguy 10-20-2013 05:02 PM

Oh no, Tate's down.
