Hard to evaluate with broad streaks of purple crap taking up most of the screen but it is best never to put too much importance on the first exhibition game. Nice to get the win though.

We didn't get AP and they didn't get Foster or AJ. Can't really project this type of thing into the regular season. Kubes is pretty good about winning in the fake season.

Didn't hear of any significant injuries but then I was distracted by purple crap through most of it. I did not catch if they had an interview with Rick Smith as they typically do in the second half. His comments are usually one of the most important things of the broadcast because the people he singles out are usually guys who are going to stick.

Not only did ABC-13 screw the pooch on the broadcast, but it still amazes me they bring back Myers every year to cover the games. I've never seen/heard someone so inept at making game-action calls or botching player names (on the team they've covered for years!!) more so than him. Does he not prepare at all?? And Tillman isn't much better, mind you.

Not a big fan of Charlie Pallilo on talk radio, but if I were in charge of making the call on the broadcast team, I'd call him and Seth Payne immediately and ask if they're interested. If anything for the 2014 season and beyond... At least Charlie would bring accuracy and Payne would bring some player knowledge and some humor.
