He's going to play first base again next year and drive in as many runs as the guys in front of him allow. I have no idea why he gets savaged so. It's not his fault Drayton gave him a big contract. He was brought to Houston to drive in runs and that's what he's done. It's not his fault the team blows and the old owner is a moron and the new one wants to dramatically slash the payroll.

Leinart looked pretty damn good on that series. But he didn't get any help from anyone.

He gets savaged because his production, RBI, Avg., HR's etc. is way down... And yes, they're stuck with him..

Leinart didn't look that bad considering Tate and the OL were missing blocks all over the place.

His production is down, certainly. He's had two straight years with miserable starts. But he is not the reason that the team blows. He actually plays a decent first base. Please know that I'd be happy to see Hinze or Wallace or whoever there instead but Carlos is all ours this year and next.
