Kinda glad he tripped, lol. Figure that reverse works, the worst result on the play would be a fumble, so it would have happened.

6:58 left in the half.

Pass to Edwards goes all the way to the Texan 10. 1st down.

LT for 6. 2nd and goal from the 4.

Quick slant to Edwards gets the TD.

Jets 10, Texans 7

chuck 11-21-2010 02:04 PM

Our defensive secondary is absolutely, unbelievably clueless. I have never seen such slapdickery.

Arky 11-21-2010 02:10 PM

5:18 left in the half.

JJ brings the kickoff back to the Texan 17.

Foster sweeps left for no gain.

Ohhohohoh, deep pass to Walter is dropped. Makes it 3rd and 10.

3rd down pass is inc. Texans have to punt.

Punt is fair caught in Texans territory.

chuck 11-21-2010 02:11 PM

I never thought it could be possible but Jacoby Jones is every bit as bad on kickoff returns as Steve Sla(y)ton is. And that means he is terrible.

TheMatrix31 11-21-2010 02:12 PM

Damn Kevin! Damn!

Arky 11-21-2010 02:14 PM

Ball at the Texans 48.

Greene sweeps left for about 6. 2nd and 4 coming up.

Greene for 2 or 3. Makes it 3rd and 2.

Greene pops loose for the 1st down. Ball at the Texan 30.

Greene goes left side -1. Makes it 2nd and 11.

2 minute warning.

Just once I'd like him hit the outside.... Always seems like there's more yardage to be made there...

Arky 11-21-2010 02:19 PM

Gots to hold 'em to a FG here....

On 2nd and 11, Sanchez pass is inc. but they get Pollard for roughing the passer. Moves the ball to the Texan 17, 1st down Jets.

Dump pass to LT goes for a small loss but another flag on the play. Correction: no foul. 2nd and 13.

Pass to Keller goes for about 4. Makes it 3rd and 9.

3rd down pass is inc. Jets have to go for the FG.

33 yarder is good.

Jets 13, Texans 7

58 seconds left in the half.

TheMatrix31 11-21-2010 02:23 PM

Jerome Boger is turrible.

HPF Bob 11-21-2010 02:24 PM

A FG keeps them within one score. If it stays that way going into halftime, we have a chance.

chuck 11-21-2010 02:24 PM

Jason Allen is the best player in the Texans' secondary by a significant distance. Think about that for a while.

Arky 11-21-2010 02:28 PM

JJ brings the kickoff back to the Texan 30. 52 seconds left in the half.

Pass to DA goes inc. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Pass to AJ goes for about 5. Makes it 3rd and 5. Timeout Texans. 38 seconds left in the half.

Pass to AJ gets 5 and the 1st down. Ball at the Texan 41.

Dump to Foster goes all the way to the Jets 39.

Pass to AJ broken up. 1 second left in the half.

Schaub is sacked.

Halftime.

HPF Bob 11-21-2010 02:29 PM

Rackers doesn't have the range to try a 56-yd FG. That's three points we should have had with better clock management.

Joshua 11-21-2010 02:31 PM

As usual, absolutely terrible clock management. I loved how they didn't use a TO so they could run an out to AJ to the sideline. Makes perfect sense.

popanot 11-21-2010 02:34 PM

Well, there you go... Neither the coach nor the QB are smart enough to call a timeout. This team never ceases to amaze with their constant in-game bungles.

Arky 11-21-2010 02:35 PM

Halftime stats:

Passing: Schaub 9/17, 93 yard, 0 TD, 0 INT

Rushing: Foster 13/53, Ward 2/0

Receiving: Foster 3/46, AJ 3/12, Dreesen 2/32, DA 1/2

Tackles: Bentley 3, Wilson/Smith/Cody/Mario/Allen/Mitchell/Sharpton 2 each

3rd down conversions: Texans 4/8, Jets 3/7

Red zone: Texans 1/1, Jets 1/3

Turnovers: Texans 0, Jets 0

Time of possession: Texans 15:32, Jets 14:28

Total yards: Texans 151, Jets 147

Halftime score: Jets 13, Texans 7

chuck 11-21-2010 02:35 PM

If you call time out after picking up that final first down you have at least two plays to run. I know I don't need to tell all of you that, you are not f%cking idiots. Someone needs to tell Gary Kubiak, who is.

Man, that shit is frustrating, watching Kubiak step on his dick week after week after week. The Texans aren't just playing against their opponent, they also have to play against their coaching staff. It's amazing they have ever won a game, ever.

Arky 11-21-2010 02:43 PM

Jets bring the 2nd half kickoff back to their 35.

Pass to Holmes good for 12.

LT for no gain. 2nd and 10 coming up.

Pass broken up by GQ. 3rd and 10 coming up.

Sanchez flushed from the pocket scrambles for the 1st down marker. 1st down.

Greene for 2. 2nd and 8 coming up.

Pass to Holmes goes for another 1st down. Ball at the Texan 29.

Reverse to Smith goes for 1. 2nd and 9 coming up.

Neither one is playing worth a crap. Add WR to the draft/FA list next year. That's next to DB, S, LB, DL, OL, P, K, KR... I'm sure Smithiak will look at that list and draft a couple more TEs, though.
