Early line - Bengals a 3 pts favorite over the Texans on Thursday night.....

My biggest issue is the fact that all of our offensive coaches, throughout all of the offseason work, came up with the idea that this offensive line was going to be competitive. This is the kind of stuff people should be fired for. At the very least the OLine coach should be canned.

Somebody just completely whiffed. To trot those bunch of fat losers out there was a travesty.

Amusing article by Sean Pendergast:

NFL Football, Week 1: Jaguars 29, Texans 7 — 4 Winners, 4 Losers

Winners:

4. Duane Brown
3. Leonard Fournette
2. Concussion doctors
1. Cleveland Browns

Losers:

4. Tom Savage
3. Xavier Su'a-Filo
2. Mike Vrabel
1. (tie) Bill O'Brien and Rick Smith

Quote:

..........Smith and O'Brien have committed malpractice on the offensive side of the football for four years, and should be served papers for punitive damages by the city of Houston for the wounds inflicted on our collective eyes.........

It's a two-fer. They also concluded that a statue like Savage (who holds the all too long to boot) was the best QB on this team to start behind this line. Even if Savage is a better QB in the abstract right now, he's clearly not the best option for this team. This all became painfully obvious by the end of the 1st quarter. And 6 weeks of training camp was then rendered moot in 15 minutes.
