The Texans placed wide receiver Derrick Mason on waivers today.

Mason, 37, was signed during the season. There’s a good chance the team will replace him on the roster with wide receiver Jeff Maehl, a rookie out of Oregon who is on the practice squad.

Mason appeared in seven games for the Texans, catching six passes for 55 yards.

Da General on NFL today, said they will probably bring Jeff Maehl in off the practice squad.
